From the first conversation to a live site

A website rarely turns out badly because nobody could code. It turns out badly because nobody decided what it was supposed to do. So we spend the first days working out exactly that.

    Conversation

    Day 1

    We talk about what your business does, who will use the site and what they need to do there. No presentation, just questions.

  2. 2

    Direction and sketch

    Week 1

    You see a visual direction and a sketch of the front page before anything is coded. If it is wrong, it is cheap to turn around here.

  3. 3

    Build

    Week 2–3

    The site is coded from scratch. You get a link you can follow along, so you watch it grow instead of waiting for a big reveal.

    Review

    Week 4

    We go through the site together, fix what needs fixing, and test on phone, tablet and screen reader before launch.

  5. 5

    Launch and maintenance

    Ongoing

    We set up the domain, hosting and analytics, and look after the site from there. Need a change? It takes one email.
